WAIVER OF LIABILITY

 

Let There Be Art disclaims any and all liability for injuries or accidents arising out of its activities, or arising out of the activities of its clients and partnering businesses.  Therefore, in consideration of participating in the activities of Let There Be Art, attendees do hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Let There Be Art, its owners, proprietors, employees, any guest speakers, volunteers, instructors, or artists, for any loss, cost and/or expense incurred as the result of their conduct, whether on or off the premises. 

 

By registering or attending events/parties, you affirm that you have read and understand the terms and conditions herein and agree to this waiver in its entirety.

POLICIES

EVENT REGISTRATION:

​PRE-PAID registration is required 48 hours prior to event start time in order to prepare.  Registration links are found on our Calendar or on our Facebook Events.  Private event seats will be paid after the event and will be determined by the number of participants per the pricing tiers.

 MINIMUM PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: 

 

  • OPEN STUDIO:  No minimum.  No registration required!  Open from 12-8pm!  "Last call" at 7pm.

  • OPEN STUDIO RESERVE:  No minimum.  Reservation only!  Mon-Sat, 9am-7pm.

 

  • 1 PAINTER PRIVATE SESSION:  2 hour minimum ($50)

 

  • STUDIO PRIVATE PARTY:  No minimum!

 

  • MOBILE PRIVATE PARTY:  Minimum of 10 participants. 

 

  • FUN-RAISERS:  Minimum of 15 participants.

  • SPLAT LAB:  Defined in each Splat Lab experience.

 

REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS & "NO SHOW" POLICY:

  • REFUNDS: Unfortunately we cannot issue refunds, but in most cases we'll issue a credit to be used within 30 days.  Please let us know ASAP if you cannot attend an event so that others can attend if the event is sold out.

  • NO SHOW WITHOUT NOTICE: No refund. No credit. eGift Cards will be charged.  Gift Certificates voided.  Prizes will be voided. 

  • EVENT & PRIVATE PARTY SEATS: Participants MUST contact us within 48 hours for a seat credit that is good for 30 days.  Seat credits may be used at parties, events, or Open Studio.  You may also send someone in your place. 

  • PRIVATE EVENT CANCELLATION:  Deposit is non-refundable.  We will consider a deposit credit, good for 30 days, upon review of cancellation circumstances.

  • 1 PAINTER PRIVATE SESSIONS:  Deposit is non-refundable.  We will consider a deposit credit, good for 30 days, upon review of cancellation circumstances.

  • GIFT CERTIFICATES & EGIFT CARDS:  A no-show will void your gift certificate.  Participants MUST contact us within 48 hours for an event credit that is good for 30 days.  Event credits may be used at parties, events, or Open Studio.  You may also send someone in your place.

  • STUDIO CANCELLATIONS: If the studio must cancel a party, a full refund will be issued. Be sure to check your email before the event.

PRIVATE EVENT SCHEDULING:

Check our Calendar for a date available!  Party starting times can be scheduled between 9am and 7pm.  If there is an Open Studio on the date that you want to hold your party, we MAY be able to hold your party in the Splat Lab if it is small or at another venue, up to 20 seats, depending on instructor availability. All private events must be scheduled at least one week in advance.

EVENT DEPOSITS:

Deposits hold your date and time and make it unavailable to others.  Deposits are refunded as long as you don't cancel your party and have the minimum number of participants at mobile parties.  Deposits will be applied to the balance of your party or a refund issued.  If a deposit credit is issued, you have 30 days to use your credit at an event, party, or Open Studio.  Deposits are invoiced via email and you can pay with a card through the invoice, or send/drop off a check. There is a lockbox on our door for after hours drop offs.

 

  • ​​1 PAINTER PRIVATE SESSION DEPOSIT:  2 hours deposit ($50 minimum) paid in full prior to the session.  An invoice will be sent and must be paid in order to hold the date and time. If session runs more than 2 hours, balance is due at end of session.

  • PRIVATE STUDIO EVENT DEPOSIT:  $100.  An email invoice will be sent and must be paid within 48 hours.  48 hours prior to the event, a final head count must be given, which will become a binding contract, and will be the balance due at the end of the private event (if more than deposit.)  We have more supplies on hand should more people attend after the 48 hour headcount is given.  Party Add-ons must be paid in advance and will be added to the deposit invoice.  Party Hosts agree to replacement value of any items or games damaged during Private Events.

  • PUBLIC STUDIO POP-UP PARTY:  $100.  An email invoice will be sent and must be paid within 48 hours.  If 5 participants pay within 48 hours, you will not need to pay your deposit, we will cancel the deposit invoice.  Minimum 5 participants to receive 10+ pricing.  We'll take care of the registration, links, and advertising on social media.  Get 10 participants and your seat is FREE!

  • MOBILE PARTY EVENT DEPOSIT:  $200.  An email invoice will be sent and must be paid within 48 hours.  48 hours prior to the event, a final head count must be given, which will become a binding contract, and will be the balance due at the end of the mobile private event.  We will bring supplies for an additional 5 people should more people attend after the 48 hour headcount is given.

  • MOBILE POP-UP PARTY DEPOSIT:  $200.  An email invoice will be sent and must be paid within 48 hours.  If 10 participants pay within 48 hours, you will not need to pay your deposit, we will cancel the deposit invoice.  We'll take care of the registration, links, and advertising on social media. Get 12 participants and your seat is FREE!

  • FUN-RAISER EVENT DEPOSITS: $200. An email invoice will be sent and must be paid within 48 hours.  If 15 participants pay within 48 hours, you will not need to pay your deposit, we will cancel the deposit invoice.  We'll take care of the registration, links, and advertising on social media.  All FUN-raiser participants must register online through our registration page prior to the event.  Minimum of 15 participants.  If you do not anticipate 15 participants, we may need to explore another avenue of fundraising.

  • OPEN STUDIO RESERVE:  Your $30 Open Studio reservation deposit will go towards any project(s) you and your friends purchase/create during your reserved studio time.  Your deposit must be used during your reserved studio time, no cash/credit back for unused portions.  $10 per hour, pro-rated, after your 2 hour reserved time ends. (Instructor discretion.)  Open Studio Reserve is NOT a private party and other patrons can schedule at the same time.

  • SPLAT LAB: Price covers 1 participant as deposit, to hold date & time. Additional participants pay at the studio. Group pricing differs per experience.  See Splat Lab for more info.

GIFT CERTIFICATES & EGIFT CARDS:

Only one gift certificate or eGift card can be used per person, per event, party, or Open Studio.  Gift Certificates or eGift cards cannot be used for fundraisers or to pay for private event deposits. Expired gift certificates will not be accepted.  If you reserve a seat at a party with your gift certificate or eGift card and do not show, it will be null and void.  Not redeemable for cash. 

HALF PRICE HOTSPOTS:

Only one Half Price Hot Spot can be used per person, per event, party, or Open Studio.  Half Price Hot Spots cannot be used for fundraisers or to pay for private event deposits. Expired Half Price Hot Spots will not be accepted.  If you reserve a seat or time with your Half Price Hot Spot and do not show, it will be null and void.  

PRIZES:

Only one prize can be used per person, per event, party, or Open Studio. Prizes are not transferable. Prizes cannot be used for fundraisers or to pay for private event deposits. Expired prizes will not be accepted.  Prizes cannot be used for Open Studio Reserve.  If you reserve a seat at a party with your prize and do not show, it will be null and void.  Not redeemable for cash.

VIRTUAL SEAT BRUSH BORROWING:

Be sure to keep the rubber band and number tag.  Bundle the brushes back up with the number tag and return brushes within 24 hours to the studio.  There is a 24 hour drop off box on the parking lot wall, no need to make an appointment.  Drop brushes in box handle first please.  If brushes aren't returned within 24 hours or your brushes are not properly cleaned, your credit card will be charged $20.

 

PROPER BRUSH CARE:

  • Please do not let paint dry in brushes.

  • Do not "scrub" the bottom of your cup to get paint out of the bristles, this will result in a bad hair-do. 

  • Gently "sweep" the floor of your cup with the large brushes and swish rapidly with small brushes.

  • Be sure to gently squeeze the excess water out of your brushes.

  • Store the brushes handle down, bristles in the air so that the bristles won't get misshapen.

  • If your brush comes apart, that's ok - constantly being in and out of water makes the wood swell and contract.  We will fix them.
